You are invited to the Minority Leaders Sensors and Materials & Manufacturing Directorates' Spring Review in Dayton, Ohio.

The two reviews will be conducted simultaneously. The receptions and lunches will be conducted jointly, bringing the Sensors and Materials & Manufacturing Directorates together to network with the representatives from the Colleges and Universities. The agendas are posted. Both reviews will be held at the Dayton Marriott, April 19-21, 2010. Oral presentations will be made by professors and students, showcasing the Sensors and Materials & Manufacturing Directorates' technical programs. The purpose of these reviews is to review current progress and to provide a forum for cross-institutional sharing of the results to date, and plans for each of their projects.

The Sensors and Materials & Manufacturing Directorates are continuing to develop long-term collaborations with Minority Leaders. The Sensors projects ("Technical Thrusts") focus on five major research growth areas: radio frequency, automatic target recognition, electro optics, trusted collaborative sensing, and enabling sensor devices. The Materials & Manufacturing Directorate focus is on nanotechnology. The goal of the Directorates' HBCU/MI activities is to aid the expansion of the technical capabilities of our partner HBCUs/MIs in these areas. It is expected that, in addition to those attending from the academic institutions, the reviews will also be attended by managerial and technical leaders from the Air Force Research Laboratory as well as industry.

The fee for the reviews is stated on the registration page. Fees will cover refreshments. Universal Technology Corporation is coordinating with the Dayton Marriott to provide administrative support for the reviews. Registration information is available online. The fee is to be paid by check or cash only and may be paid upon meeting check-in. If you wish to attend, it is requested that you register no later than April 12, 2010.
